Workshop description:

Spend the afternoon learning the basics of drawing and painting using this wonderful mixed media, ink and wash. Sketch with pen and add a splash of colour with watercolour paints. You will learn fundamentals such as line, shape, perspective, tone, and colour theory to work on your urban sketching compositions. 

This workshop is perfect for beginners, but more advanced sketchers are welcome. Sketchbook enthusiasts, this is the perfect opportunity to start working on your travel journals!

This activity will be a semi-outdoors workshop. First we will go over techniques in Outhwaite Hall building, and then we will head outside and enjoy a nice sketching session in Outhwaite Park. All art materials are provided, so you just have to bring yourselves, your outdoors essentials (hat, sun cream, and picnic blanket or chair) and have fun! We will have an alternative if the weather isn't suitable for an outdoors art activity.
